The majority of our work is done for medium and small businesses. Some of our clients have their own design teams and some haven’t any in-house design. This doesn’t matter to us, we can happily work alongside your design team or handle the project entirely ourselves.

Some of our clients have only one designer. This can be a distinct disadvantage when it comes to getting the best result. When only one person is working on a project they can easily become blinkered and only focus on a narrow route. When a team is involved it opens up different ideas and perspectives and usually results in a better product.

Some of our customers with small or single person design teams have asked us to perform a review of their designs. Although not as good as working together on a project, I think this is a sensible alternative and can easily pay for itself in quick time by avoiding costly tooling modifications.

You may be thinking that your products are so specialised that an outside design team would not be able to help much. This couldn’t be further from the truth. There are obviously people in your company that know everything about your existing products, so you don’t need more people with the same knowledge. But what would be a benefit is people with fresh ideas and people that could bring in new ideas.

We work with many small companies that use us entirely for their new product development. This gives them great flexibility in that they only use and pay for our services when needed. New product development tends to come in cycles and they don’t have to pay for resident designers during the slack part of the cycle.
